As aircraft ascend above the fluffy veil of clouds, aircrew sometimes encounter a here phenomenon known as turbulence. This can range from gentle bumpy rides to more intense jolts, brought about various factors high in the atmosphere. Some of these include jet streams, weather systems, and even the wake turbulence left behind by larger aircraft. U
